Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 22) — A United States men’s choir was overjoyed in their flight home from Kenya as they performed a song composed by Filipino music icon Ryan Cayabyab.
In a video uploaded by the Emirates Airline, the Baylor University School of Music Men’s Choir sang and danced to the tune of “Da Coconut Nut,” which was popularized in 1991 by Cayabyab’s performing group Smokey Mountain.
“When you go coconuts on an Emirates flight. Thank you Baylor University Men’s Choir for a great onboard performance,” Emirates said in its post.
The song is about the different benefits of the coconut tree, which is abundant in tropical countries such as the Philippines.
The video already has over 3.3 million views as of 2:30 PM on Saturday.
