Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws edged out the Adamson Lady Falcons in straight sets, 25-12, 25-19, 25-16, on Wednesday afternoon at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
FEU bounced back from a devastating opening weekend setback against the De La Salle University Lady Spikers, capturing its first win in UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball.
Bernadette Pons continued her stellar performance with 15 points, while Remy Palma added 13 markers for the Lady Tamaraws.
Adamson showed life at the second set where they were able to trim down the lead to five, 23-18, but the Morayta-based squad still managed to go for the kill.
The Lady Falcons remained winless after two outings.
The Lady Tams will go up against the Ateneo Lady Eagles on February 12 (Sunday) at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
