Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 28)— A former official of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) was shot dead Saturday by unidentified gunmen in Quezon City.
Initial investigation showed Abdulrashid Ladayo Jr., who previously served as an executive assistant for the PCUP, had just come out of his vehicle when one of the suspects fired at him multiple times. The gunman and two of his cohorts then fled the scene on a motorcycle.
The 55-year-old Ladayo was rushed to the Metro North Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival in the afternoon.
This is a developing story.
