Three Red leaders nabbed in Cagayan – military

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 9) — Authorities have arrested Tuesday evening three alleged leaders of the communist New People’s Army, the military said Wednesday.

The military and police nabbed Violeta “Issa” Ricardo, Cristina Miguel “Senyang” Garcia and Delilah “Domay Saganay” Padilla in Tuguegarao City, the Northern Luzon Command said in a statement.

The military said Ricardo is deputy secretary of the Northern Front Committee and the regional finance head. She is wanted for murder, frustrated murder, carnapping and rebellion.

It added Garcia is facing arrest warrants for murder, frustrated murder, attempted murder and qualified assault upon an agent of a person in authority, while Padilla is also facing warrants for murder and robbery.
