
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 9) — A former police official who was once a key anti-crime figure joined the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Malacañang said.
A statement released Wednesday said Cezar Mancao II is now executive director V of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center.
“We are confident that Mr. Mancao’s professional credentials would contribute in cybercrime prevention in the country,” the statement read.
Mancao was a member of the defunct Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force during the Estrada administration.
He was linked to the murder of publicist Bubby Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito in 2000.
