
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 10) — The Department of Foreign Affairs recorded on Sunday six new coronavirus infections among Filipinos overseas, as the total number climbed to 1,343.
One more Filipino abroad has succumbed to the disease, raising the death toll to 185. Meanwhile, three more patients have recovered, bringing the total to 331.
The DFA added that 827 overseas Filipinos are currently undergoing treatment.
Filipino COVID-19 cases have been recorded in a total of 44 countries or regions worldwide. Europe has the highest number with 418 cases. This is followed by 328 cases in the Americas, 327 cases in the Asia Pacific Region, and 270 cases in the Middle East/Africa.
Globally, over 2.9 million people have contracted the viral illness, with some 203,000 deaths and over 822,000 recoveries.
