Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 14) — More than 200,000 personal protective equipment for frontliners are on their way to the country, the Department of Health said Tuesday.

The agency said it is expecting 230,000 sets to arrive from Tuesday until next week. It added the Office of Civil Defense already delivered 43,945 sets to hospitals and health facilities from April 4 to 9.

To date, the country has received and delivered 82,000 PPE sets, the DOH said.

The agency earlier ordered one million PPE sets worth ₱1.8 billion, complete with N95 masks, surgical gloves and gowns, face covers and shoe covers for medical personnel.

The DOH said health facilities in need of PPEs should contact the agency through covid19logistics@gmail.com.
