
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 11) — There are now 651 overseas Filipinos who have contracted the coronavirus disease, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Saturday.
The agency said some 84 have died while 188 have recovered and have been released from the hospital. From the total, 294 COVID-19 positive patients were confirmed by the Department of Health. There are also 379 Filipinos undergoing treatment.
Affected Filipinos are scattered in 40 countries and regions, DFA said. The Asia Pacific Region has the most with 226 infected Filipinos with Europe closely behind with 220 cases. The Americas have 125 Filipinos with COVID-19 while the Middle East and Africa have 80 Filipino cases.
