
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 20) — A Filipino tested positive for COVID-19 in South Korea. This is the first confirmed case of the viral disease involving a Filipino in the East Asian country.
“The South Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that a Filipino has tested positive for Covid-19. This is the first confirmed case of Covid-19 infection involving a Filipino in South Korea,” Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Brigido “Dodo” Dulay said on Twitter.

Philippine Consul General to South Korea Christian De Jesus also confirmed to CNN Philippines that this is the first case of infection of a Filipino in that country.
