Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 15) – An employee of the House of Representatives who tested positive for the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 has died, a congressman disclosed Sunday.
PBA Party-list Jericho Nograles said the employee died at 1:45 a.m.
Secretary General Jose Luis Montales bared last Friday that the patient, who worked at the House’s Printing Service, had tested positive for COVID-19. All personnel of the Printing Service are now on self-quarantine.
The Department of Health has yet to make its own confirmation on the latest fatality.
The Philippines has a total of eight COVID-19 deaths, with 111 recorded cases to date.
