Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 26) — Forty public utility buses will resume operations in some areas in Mindanao beginning December 27, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said Friday.
The LTFRB said in a statement that buses would ply these routes:
• Cagayan de Oro City – Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat
• Davao City – Arakan, North Cotabato
• Davao City – Kidapawan City
The announcement came two days after the regulator allowed 440 provincial buses in Luzon.

Nearly 1,600 provincial buses are back on the roads, the LTFRB said. Earlier this month, the government approved the return of provincial buses in point-to-point routes.
It reminded drivers and operators to observe safety protocols including wearing of face masks and face shields, enforcing the one-seat-apart rule, no talking, eating, and phone calls while in the vehicles.
