Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 7) — Former Sultan Kudarat Vice Governor Rolly Recinto was killed in an ambush on Tuesday, police reported.
Gunmen attacked Recinto as his pickup truck was passing a highway in Barangay Belumin in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital from multiple gunshot wounds. Recinto was also the former mayor of Lambayong town.
The Police Regional Office-12 said in a statement that it will investigate the incident and prosecute the culprits once identified.
