Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 3) – American-born Filipino muay thai fighter Jackie Buntan emerged victorious in ONE: Empower with a unanimous decision win over Argentina’s Daniela Lopez Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The 24-year-old fighter from southern California improved to a 23-5 slate, while the Argentinean went down to a 7-4 record.
Buntan also notched her third straight victory since making her ONE Championship debut early this year. She earlier beat Thailand’s Wondergirl Fairtex in February and Russia’s Ekaterina Vandaryeva in April.
Buntan flaunted her dominant form against Lopez all throughout the three rounds of the women’s strawweight muay thai bout with her solid right hand straights and stinging right leg kicks to her opponent.
Some powerful combos were also thrown by Buntan on Lopez to get a convincing win in ONE Championship’s first all-female card.
