Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 3)— It’s finally official: South Korean actor Park Seo-joon will soon be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
His agency Awesome Entertainment confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, adding that the actor recently flew out of South Korea to shoot the film.
“Park Seo-joon confirmed his appearance in the Marvel Studios movie and left the country this afternoon,” the agency said.
Korean media outlets first came out with news in June that Park was reportedly cast in the upcoming superhero movie “The Marvels” — the sequel to the 2019 picture “Captain Marvel.”
His management, however, did not provide further details about the movie nor the actor’s role.
“I am well aware that many people are curious about the name of the work, the character, the filming location, and the filming period, but detailed information about the movie will be announced at a later date,” it noted.
The 32-year-old award-winning actor has appeared in a number of Korean drama series including “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” “Itaewon Class,” “Fight for My Way,” and “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.”
