The first shipment in the morning contained 502,000 AstraZeneca vials ordered by the private sector through GoNegosyo, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said in a statement.
In the afternoon, another 1.5 million doses arrived, this time of Sinovac vaccines procured by the national government. The delivery was aired by state-run PTV.
Over 15 million Filipinos have completed their vaccination, while 20.8 million have received their first dose.
