Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 25) — Over four million more COVID-19 vaccine doses — both donated and procured — arrived in the country on Thursday.

Latest official data showed over 43.8 million Filipinos have received at least one coronavirus shot, including around 34.5 million now fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The average number of doses administered daily over the past week is at 823,561.

The government targets to raise the number of fully vaccinated individuals to 54 million by year-end.

The first shipment consisting of 3,191,040 AstraZeneca doses was sent by the United Kingdom, and arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport shortly past 4 p.m. It’s the second of the three batches of donations expected from the UK.

A second delivery came before 8 p.m. containing 1,017,900 Pfizer shots bought by the national government.

As of Nov. 24, the National Task Force against COVID-19 said the country has more than 57.6 million vaccine doses in stockpile. This is from the total count of 135.2 million delivered by various manufacturers and donor nations since February.
