Metro Manila, Philippines – “It’s Live sa Cheter!”
Actress and comedienne Eugene Domingo will return as the lead in the fourth installment of the beloved franchise “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” – this time in theater form.
Domingo will play the fictionalized version of herself in “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sh*t! It’s Live Sa Cheter!” as a satire on Philippine theater-making.
In its announcement on Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) described the 2026 live theatrical adaptation as “a meta-comedy about ego and art” while showing “the messy reality of making Philippine Theater today.”
Chris Martinez, the writer for the franchise, also returns for the project. PETA’s former artistic director Maribel Legarda will direct the stage play.
PETA previously adapted other movies into theatrical installments such as “One More Chance” and “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo.”
“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” won numerous accolades including Best Picture and Best Screenplay in the 7th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and became the country’s official entry for the 2011 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film.
The “wildest” addition to the franchise will run from June 19 to Aug. 16 at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.
