Metro Manila, Philippines – GCash announced a five peso discount for Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) commuters using cashless payment services on Dec. 8 to 22.

In an advisory, the e-wallet provider said the discount will be deducted automatically on GCash Card, Commute QR code or Tap to Pay in designated turnstiles.

An initial fee of P28 will be deducted and the change will be remitted upon exit at the turnstile.

GCash, in partnership with the Department of Transportation, launched its cashless payment scheme in July.
