LIST: Class suspensions on Sept. 20 due to habagat

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 20) — Several local government units have suspended classes on Tuesday due to rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.

The following LGUs have cancelled classes in all levels in public and private schools:

Metro Manila

Caloocan City

Malabon City (starting 12 p.m.)

Marikina City

Navotas City (starting 12 p.m.)

Valenzuela City (starting 12 p.m.)

Mandaluyong City (starting 12 p.m.)

Rizal province

In its 2 p.m. bulletin, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and several areas in Quezon are under yellow warning. This means flooding is possible in flood-prone areas.

Taguig City (starting 12 p.m.)

Muntinlupa City (starting 12 p.m.)

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains could affect Bataan and several areas in Metro Manila and Rizal.

PAGASA forecaster Dan Villamil told CNN Philippines there is no low pressure area expected to affect the weather in the next two to three days.

The southwest monsoon is projected to linger for the rest of the week, said Villamil.
