Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 7) — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) said its six satellite offices now offer medical and burial assistance to the public and can be availed through identified partner hospitals or direct walk-in applications.
Vice President Sara Duterte earlier said the satellite offices, which were opened on July 1, will expand her reach in the country.

Reynold Munsayac, the vice president’s spokesperson, added that the offices will help people get easier access to the social services offered by the OVP.
“These established satellite offices across the country will widen the program’s reach and will guarantee a better provision of assistance,” he said in a press release on Wednesday.
Those who would avail of the medical assistance are asked to submit the following requirements:
– medical assistance application form
– medical or clinical abstract/medical certificate
– social case study report or barangay certificate of indigency
– valid identification card of patient/applicant
Additional requirements may include prescription, price quotation, treatment protocols, and hospital bill.
Meanwhile, requirements for the burial assistance include filled out application form, death certificate, social case study report or barangay certificate of indigency, and valid identification card of the deceased and the applicant.
Applicants are asked to submit the requirements via walk-in to satellite office processor/staff who will then inform them of the date of issuance of assistance that will be provided personally or via email.
The OVP’s satellite offices are located in Dagupan in Ilocos Region, Cebu in Central Visayas, Tacloban in Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga in Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao in Northern Mindanao, and Tandag in Surigao del Sur.
Munsayac noted that Duterte also plans to open more offices around the country.
