Mixed movement in fuel prices seen next week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 30) — A mixed movement in prices of fuel products are expected starting Aug. 2, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said on Saturday.

According to forecast, fuel companies are seen to slash per-liter prices of diesel by ₱0.60 to ₱0.70 and raise those of gasoline by ₱0.60 to ₱0.80 next week.

Last week, oil firms reduced per-liter prices of gasoline by ₱0.40, diesel by ₱1.85, and kerosene by ₱1.30 for the fourth-straight week.

The Department of Energy said net price increases since the start of the year for gasoline, diesel and kerosene stood at ₱18.90, ₱32.95, and ₱28.05 per liter, respectively, as of July 26.
