Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 16) — A year after her career-defining gold medal win at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Hidilyn Diaz took to social media to celebrate another milestone — her wedding to long-time beau Julius Naranjo.
Mayad Studio captured the couple’s most candid moments, from basking in the dreamy scenery of Atok and Baguio to their time spent training together.
She said that while the shoot was tiring, it was worth it in the end.
“I will never forget how fun yet tiring the shoot was but look! The photos are beautiful,” the weightlifting champ gushed in a Facebook post.
The couple first met at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Naranjo later took Diaz under his wing and became her coach.
They got engaged in October 2021 and will officially tie the knot on July 26.
