Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 10) — Binibining Pilipinas 2022 has revealed celebrities who will grace its coronation night, led by pageant hosts Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves.
The two first hosted the Bb. Pilipinas coronation night in 2021, making “herstory” as the first all-female hosting tandem of the pageant.
In an Instagram post, Gray expressed excitement to be back on the pageant stage as one of its hosts.
Another beauty queen, Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Bernardo, will join them, along with Filipino-British actor-host Edward Barber, who will engage with the online viewers.
The country’s Kings of Pop, SB19, who sang the brand-new Bb. Pilipinas theme song “Win Your Heart,” will also be performing on coronation night.
Meanwhile, Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman will serve as a judge in this year’s competition.
The forty ladies who will compete for four crowns — Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Globe, and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International — were presented to the press on July 5. Among the group are artists, models, sports enthusiasts, a pilot, and other working professionals.
The grand coronation night is slated for July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
