Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 6) — Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental bagged the coveted Miss World Philippines crown at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Besting 35 other beauties from different provinces across the country, Fourniol succeeds Tracy Maureen Perez in representing the Philippines and will compete in the 71st Miss World pageant.
Aside from Fourniol, four other ladies emerged as the top winners from the evening’s coronation night.

Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas: Ingrid Santamaria
Miss Eco Philippines: Ashley Subijano
Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2022: Beatriz McLelland
Last year, the Miss World Philippines’ main event faced a number of delays due to the government’s COVID-19 restrictions. The organization did not hold its yearly search in 2020, the year when the coronavirus pandemic was at its peak.
The Philippines has captured only one Miss World crown, courtesy of Megan Young in 2013.
