
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 13) — Another price hike awaits motorists this week as oil firms announced that they will raise per-liter prices of fuel products.
In separate advisories, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Caltex, Unioil, Petron, Flying V, and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines said their pump prices will increase by ₱2.15 per liter for gasoline and ₱4.30 per liter for diesel effective June 14.
Caltex will start raising their fuel prices at 12:01 a.m. On the other hand, Seaoil, Unioil, PTT, Petro Gazz, Petron, and Flying V will implement the price hike at 6:00 a.m. Meanwhile, Cleanfuel will impose the increase at 8:01 a.m.
Seaoil and Caltex also announced that kerosene price will go up by ₱4.85.
As of June 7, per-liter prices have gone up by ₱26.55 for gasoline, ₱36.85 for diesel, and ₱33.10 for kerosene since the start of 2022, according to the Department of Energy’s latest monitor.
Amid the rising fuel prices, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board last week approved a temporary ₱1 hike in jeepney fare in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa, raising the minimum fare to ₱10.
