Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 25) — Comelec Commissioner Rey Bulay, who leads the probe into the financial issue between Vote Pilipinas and hotel venue Sofitel, said he may present findings from the investigation this Friday.

“We have at least 23 departments and no less than 14 of them submitted their responses,” Bulay said during a press briefing on Monday. “Allow me to study their responses with respect to the queries.”

Bulay promised the Comelec chairman and other commissioners a week of investigation which started on April 22.

Siguro mga Friday, magpatawag ulit ako ng presscon tapos I will make you aware of my findings and recommendations sa en banc. Alam nyo naman hindi ko lang desisyon, pagdating na dun sa course of action that will be taken depending on findings. Yun yung takbo ng imbestigasyon na ito,” he explained.

[By Friday, I will call for another press conference. I will make you aware of my findings and recommendations to en banc. The decision on the course of action will not only depend on me but on the findings. That’s how this investigation goes.]

The Comelec was supposed to hold the third and final Pilipinas Debates 2022 for presidential and vice presidential candidates on April 23 and 24, later on postponed to April 30 and May 1 due to alleged failure of Vote Pilipinas/Impact Hub to pay the debate venue.
