Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 1) – The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) will play its remaining semifinals and upcoming finals games at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City and Ynares Center in Antipolo City, league president Ricky Palou announced on Friday.

“We needed to accommodate more fans for the playoffs that is why we are moving,” Palou said.

The league has already secured clearances from the Pasay and Antipolo local governments and the Games and Amusements Board for the holding of the games, he added.

Game 2 of the two best-of-three semifinal matches scheduled on Sunday will be held at the MOA Arena.

In case of a deciding Game 3 in both affairs, the games will also held in the same venue on April 4.

The last time the PVL held a game at the MOA Arena was in July 2018 during the finals of the Reinforced Conference.

The first game of the best-of-three 2022 PVL Open Conference championship will also be played at the 15,000-seater arena on April 6.

Game 2 and, if necessary, Game 3 of the finals will be staged at the Ynares Center on April 8 and 10, respectively.

The classification matches scheduled on April 5 will still be played at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Same health protocols apply in the PVL games at the two bigger arenas, where fans must be fully vaccinated to enter the venues, and observe physical distancing at all times.
