Binibining Pilipinas leaves Miss Grand International franchise

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 7) — Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) announced Monday its official withdrawal from the Miss Grand International (MGI) franchise.

BPCI head and spokesperson Gines Enriquez thanked the MGI organizers and gave his best wishes in their future endeavors.

“With that said, we remain committed to delighting our followers and sponsors through the productions of world-class pageants that help propel Filipinas to reach their fullest potential and achieve greatness in an international stage,” Enriquez said.

He added that BPCI has a legacy of producing a “stellar roster of international winners” and enjoyed the immense support of Binibining Pilipinas fans.

Filipinos on social media celebrated the “good decision” of the organization.

Philippines’ 2022 bet Roberta Tamondong was appointed as fifth-runner up on Oct. 30 days after the coronation night. She initially placed in the Top 20.

No Filipino queen has been crowned Miss Grand International.
