LIST: Class suspensions for Oct. 14 due to rainy weather

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 14) — Some local government units cancelled classes on Friday due to inclement weather.

Here are the municipalities that suspended classes:

Cagayan Valley

Abulug: Pre-school to senior high school

Gonzaga: All levels (Public and Private)

Sanchez Mira: All levels (Public and Private)

Cagayan was hit by Tropical Depression Maymay earlier in the week prompting classes to be suspended in several areas since Oct. 12.

Tropical Depression Neneng maintained its strength while moving west northwestward over the Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said Friday morning.

Signal No.1 could be raised by Friday over the eastern portion of Northern Luzon due to anticipated winds that could reach near gale strength, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Allacapan: All levels (Public and Private)

Aparri: All levels (Public and Private)

Lal-lo: All levels (Public and Private)

It noted that Signal No. 2, which may be hoisted over the Batanes and Cagayan area, is most likely the highest storm alert to be put in place.

PAGASA added that “Neneng” may make landfall or pass very close to Babuyan Islands or Batanes.
