
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 8) — Five people were hurt after a fire hit a shopping mall in Muntinlupa City on Saturday, which also caused damage worth an estimated ₱100 million.
In a report, local fire officials said the fire at Starmall Alabang reached the first alarm at 3:40 a.m., then Task Force Alpha four hours later. Task Force Alpha is a call code to send at least 16 firetrucks to the scene.
After over 15 hours, the fire was declared under control by 7 p.m.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
