
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 17) — Motorists are headed for another price hike just days after fuel firms announced big-time increase in oil prices.
A number of oil firms announced upward rate adjustments this Monday.
Effective Tuesday, 6 a.m., diesel prices of Caltex, Cleanfuel, Flying V, Petro Gazz, Petron, Phoenix, PTT Philippines, Seaoil and Unioil will go up by ₱1.80 per liter. These firms will also raise gasoline prices by ₱0.90/l.
Caltex, Flying V, Petron and Seaoil likewise said that kerosene prices will rise by ₱2.30/l by tomorrow.
This marks the third straight week of rising fuel prices. The latest Department of Energy oil monitor said prices of gasoline have so far risen by ₱2.60/l, diesel by ₱3.50/l and kerosene by ₱2.75/l.
