‘Marce’ affects 107,000 families – gov’t data

Metro Manila, Philippines — About 107,000 families have been affected by Typhoon Marce, data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) showed on Monday, Nov. 11.

The NDRRMC said the households, equivalent to 374,177 individuals, are from the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The number of displaced people dropped to around 300 on Monday from over 20,000 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the casualty count stood at one dead, one injured, and one missing.

Damage to infrastructure was pegged at around P25 million while agriculture losses were about P16 million.

The NDRRMC said 28,037 houses were destroyed.
