Fuel price hike on Tuesday

Metro Manila, Philippines — Oil companies will raise per-liter prices of fuel products in the first week of September.

In separate announcements on Monday, Sept. 2, Seaoil and Cleanfuel said gasoline will cost ₱0.50 more per liter and diesel by ₱0.30 per liter effective Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Seaoil said kerosene prices will go up by ₱0.70.

As of Aug. 27, the Department of Energy said the year-to-date net increase of gasoline and diesel prices were at ₱6.90 and ₱4.05 per liter, respectively.

The agency added that kerosene posted a net decrease of ₱4 per liter.
