Miss Universe 2024 coronation set for November 16 in Mexico

Metro Manila, Philippines — The next Miss Universe titleholder will be crowned on Nov. 16 in Mexico City, the organization has announced.

The 73rd Miss Universe competition will be held at the Arena Ciudad de México, according to a video posted on the organization’s social media accounts on Friday, Aug. 23.

It also said this year’s edition will be the “biggest event in the history of the Miss Universe,” which will feature a new show format. No additional details were given.

The preliminary and national costume competition will be conducted on Nov. 14.

Bulacan’s Chelsea Manalo will represent the Philippines in the international pageant.

Manalo is vying for the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown, following Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018. Earlier winners were Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran.
