
Metro Manila, Philippines – Authorities reported another death from non-stop rains in Mindanao, raising the casualty count to three.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the death toll is now three – one each in Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Meanwhile, two other people were hurt and one is missing in Northern Mindanao.
The rains have affected more than 96,000, including 5,000 staying in evacuation centers.
The southwest monsoon has been inducing rains in the country, and most of Mindanao has encountered intense downpour causing flooding in 55 areas.
