
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 9) — A magnitude 4.4 quake hit Claveria, Cagayan on Wednesday morning, state seismologists said.
In an advisory, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic quake was recorded at 7:42 a.m.
Intensity 3 (weak vibrations) was recorded in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.
Intensity 2 (slightly felt vibrations), meanwhile, was experienced in Pasuquin, Bacarra, and the City of Batac in Ilocos Norte
Phivolcs said damage or aftershocks are not expected.
