Another increase in oil prices set this week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 28) – Pump prices will again go up starting Tuesday, several oil companies said Monday.

In separate advisories, Seaoil, Jetti, Petron and Cleanfuel said the per liter cost of diesel will increase by 70 centavos while gasoline will rise by 30 centavos per liter.

PTT, Phoenix, Petro Gazz, Flying V and Caltex also said they will implement the same oil price adjustments.

The cost of kerosene will climb by 80 centavos per liter in fuel stations of Seaoil, Flying V and Caltex.

This will be the eighth straight week of price increases in diesel and the seventh week of price hikes in gasoline since July 10.

According to the Department of Energy, the price adjustments resulted in a year-to-date net increase of ₱14.50 per liter for gasoline, ₱8.80 per liter for diesel, and ₱5.84 per liter for kerosene.
