Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 1) — The government should craft “decisive measures” to address the consecutive increases in pump prices as it poses an additional burden to Filipinos in their daily expenses, a former party-list representative said.
“It is high time that the interests of the Filipino people take precedence over the profit-driven motives of the oil industry,” Ferdinand Gaite of Bayan-Muna Party-list said Monday.
“Ang patuloy na pagsirit ng presyo ng langis na napakabigat na talaga sa mga driver, motorista at sa lahat ng mamamayan.”

Oil firms on Monday announced another round of increases in fuel products from ₱2 to ₱3 per liter.
