
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 28) – Typhoon Egay has left at least 13 people dead and 20 others missing after it hit the Philippines, the state disaster response agency said on Friday.
In its latest bulletin, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) logged nine deaths in the Cordillera Administrative Region and two in Western Visayas Region.
Meanwhile, Calabarzon and the Ilocos Region recorded one death each.
NDRRMC also reported around 140,000 families or nearly 500,000 people affected by Typhoon Egay, while 12 people were injured.
Typhoon Egay has also left infrastructure and agriculture damage worth more than ₱7 million.
