Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 23) – Seafarers may take the LRT-2 and MRT-3 for free at certain hours on June 25 in honor of the Day of the Filipino Seafarer, operators announced.
Operator Light Rail Transit Authority said Wednesday LRT-2 will offer free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, free rides at the MRT-3 will be available from 5:30 a.m. until the last trip.
The North Avenue Station will operate until 9:30 p.m. while the Taft Avenue Station will be open until 10:09 p.m.
The Day of the Filipino Seafarer is celebrated annually to honor the work and contributions of maritime industry workers.
