
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 20) – Due to an overwhelming demand from its fans, the British rock band Coldplay added another night to its concert in the Philippines next year.
Concert producer Live Nation Philippines confirmed in a Facebook post on Tuesday that the band will now be performing on Jan. 19 and 20, at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
It added that the Jan. 19 show was sold out, a day after pre-selling of tickets started.
Organizers, meanwhile, announced that tickets for the Jan. 20 show will go on sale on June 22 at 12 p.m. local time.

Ticket prices for the award-winning band’s performance range from ₱2,500 to ₱10,000 for upper box seats and ₱11,000 to ₱22,000 for lower box seats. A maximum of six tickets can be purchased per transaction.
Fans can also buy limited packages such as the “Ultimate Spheres Experience” (₱46,000) which includes one lower box premium ticket, backstage tour, stage access for a photo opportunity by a professional photographer, dedicated entrance to the venue, customized merchandise, and a sustainable gift item from the band.
The “Supersolis Experience” (₱30,000), meanwhile, contains one lower box premium ticket, dedicated entrance to the venue, and a sustainable gift item from Coldplay.
Coldplay has made a commitment in 2022 to make their “Music of the Spheres” concert tour as sustainable and low-carbon as possible.
Since then, stage production of the band has been powered by kinetic dance floors that will generate energy to power the show through audience movement.
Fans can also use electricity-generating stationary bicycles that will be installed at each show to help charge the show batteries.
The band held its first concert in the country in 2017 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City.
They are well-known for their songs “Yellow,” “Fix You,” “Viva La Vida,” and “A Sky Full of Stars.”
