
(CNN Philippines, June 20) — AJ Edu has signed a one-year deal with Division I team Toyama Grouses in the Japan B.League, the squad announced Tuesday.
The Cypriot-born Filipino big man said he’s excited to begin his pro stint with Toyama.
“So excited to start my professional career at Toyama Grouses! Looking forward to seeing all the fans, teammates and team members. And doing my best on court for all of you,” he said in a statement.
The 6-foot-10 cager is part of the Gilas pool preparing for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup in August.
