Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 13) — Kirstie Alora bagged another gold medal in taekwondo for the Philippines at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The now four-time SEA Games gold medalist bested a Vietnamese jin in the women’s kyorugi or sparring under 73 kilogram division.
Her win marked the 37th gold medal for the Philippines.
Earlier, her teammates won three gold medals in the same sparring competition, but in the men’s division under different weight classes.
Alora, a veteran of the sport, first won gold at the 2005 SEA Games hosted by Manila, then again in Indonesia in 2011, and in Myanmar in 2013.
