(CNN Philippines, May 11) — Gilas Pilipinas Women cruised to another easy win after demolishing Singapore, 94-63, Thursday in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games basketball tournament at the Morodok Techo Elephant Hall 2 in Cambodia.
Khate Castillo had 14 points, while Ella Fajardo and Afril Bernardino chipped in 11 points each for the Philippines.
Singapore was able to make it a close match as it only trailed by seven, 45-38, at the halftime break.
But Gilas pulled away in the third quarter while limiting the Singaporeans to just five points.
The Philippines will next battle Indonesia on May 12 at the same venue.
