
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 1) — Over 9,000 passengers were left distressed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, which services several international and domestic flights, after a power outage on Labor Day (Monday).
Cebu Pacific announced that over 40 of its flights have been canceled.
Meanwhile, AirAsia Philippines also announced that some of its flights will depart at a later time.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that the power outage started at 1:05 a.m. and was restored hours later at 8:46 a.m.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines announced that the following Cebu Pacific flights were delayed:

In an advisory posted Monday afternoon, Cebu Pacific said its passengers who were affected by the outage could apply for free rebooking, avail of a virtual travel fund equal to the amount of their affected flight, or refund their ticket entirely which could take up to one or two months to process.
Only domestic flights were canceled, although some international trips were delayed, the DOTr said.
The Manila International Airport Authority and Meralco are now looking into the cause of the power failure.
