Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 9) — Three crew members of a Marshall Islands-flagged vessel have been declared dead after they were found unconscious while their ship was sailing in the waters off Bolinao, Pangasinan on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Saturday.
The bulk carrier ship MV Blue Cecil was from Portland, United States and was headed to Singapore as its next port of call.
The PCG said BRP Malabrigo was ordered to coordinate with the foreign vessel for a meetup in the waters off North of Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro, to assist in the transfer of its deceased crew members.
The foreign vessel intends to anchor at the vicinity waters off the Manila Anchorage Area, the PCG added.
According to the PCG, the company of the foreign vessel has already arranged the transfer of the deceased seafarers and had coordinated their arrival at the Port of Manila.
