
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 30) – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) in the Port of Clark in Pampanga on Saturday said it seized ₱103 million worth of shabu from the United States disguised as brochures.
The packages of plastic pouches – containing around 14,944 grams of the illegal substance – arrived on Dec. 18 from the states of Texas, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, the agency said.
The shipment had a street value of ₱103,113,600.
Warrants of Seizure and Detention were issued against the packages for violations of Republic Act (RA) 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) in relation to R.A. No. 9165.
Earlier this week, the BOC-Port of Clark seized ₱56 million worth of shabu from the shipment’s consignee in Cavite.
