Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 27) — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Tuesday unloaded 450 passengers and temporarily stopped operations around 5 p.m. at the Cubao Station-Southbound due to smoke observed on one of its trains.
The Department of Transportation said the passengers were transferred to a replacement train at the same station.
It added that the MRT-3 resumed operations in less than 10 minutes after the disruption.
No passengers were reported injured and no fire was detected.
