PH swimmers bag first two medals in Asian Para Games

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 23) — Swimmers Gary Bejino and Ernie Gawilan take home the first medals in the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China on Monday.

The Filipino representatives both secured bronze medals in their respective events in para swimming.

Gawilan placed third in the Men’s 200m with a time of 2 minutes and 52 seconds, while Bejino registered a minute and 12 seconds in the Men’s 100m Freestyle to nab the country’s second bronze.

Filipino athletes will continue to vie for podium slots in the Para Games until Oct. 28.
