2023: The year of love and other Feng Shui predictions for President Marcos and VP Duterte

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 4) — The Year of the Water Rabbit will be a good time to find love and cultivate romantic relationships, according to Feng Shui expert Marites Allen.

She revealed to CNN Philippines her predictions for the year, reminding the public to manage their stress levels.

“I declare 2023 as the year of love,” Allen said in an interview on Tuesday. “This is the year of moving on. This is a good year to be engaged, to be married, to have babies — rabbits make a lot of babies.”

“We have to be careful with anything to do with our hearts, so less stress,” she added.

Allen said the population rate normally increases during the Years of the Rabbit and Dragon, the Chinese zodiac in 2024.

She added in her forecast that it will be a calmer year compared to 2022.

“There’s going to be more peaceful negotiations rather than arguments because it’s going to hurt the rest of the world,” Allen noted.

“Basically, the leaders could think peaceful negotiations are better,” she also said.

Forecast for PH leaders

The Feng Shui expert also gave her predictions for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte for 2023.

She said it will be a good year for Marcos and Duterte who were born on the Years of the Rooster and Horse, respectively, since they are both going through what she called “wealth luck cycle.”

“Naturally when the leaders of the country are going through a good luck, it could also benefit the country,” she said.

Allen said it is better for Marcos to travel since it is his Chinese zodiac sign’s conflict year, since the rabbit and rooster are incompatible.

She added that Marcos and others born in the Year of the Rooster are blessed with windfall this year.

“The more he goes out and gets investments from abroad, it’s good for him to keep traveling because it’s his conflict year,” Allen said. “The more he goes out, it’s going to be very good for the country.”

For Duterte who was born in the Year of the Horse, she said the year will bring good fortune to the vice president.

She also said that those born in the same Chinese zodiac sign should push themselves to the limit and keep working smart.

Lucky, unlucky signs and other tips

The other lucky signs are those born in the Years of the Sheep, Monkey, and Rat, according to Allen.

For those born in the Years of Boar and Dog, she said they will have good fortune and career, but they must be mindful of their health.

The Feng Shui expert warned those born in the Years of the Dragon and Snake to be careful of misunderstandings and arguments.

She advised them to opt for red clothes to ward off bad luck.

In terms of clothing, she said it is generally lucky to wear metallic colors since the Year of the Water Rabbit lacks the element of metal.

“Metal is like magnet — affiliation and networking…” Allen pointed out. “Gold and silver are good for the year. But we also have our own personal colors.”
